To celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China, the international exhibition “Mzyellow: A Symphony in Four Movements” has arrived in Brasília. The Chinese artist uses the delicacy of rice paper to present different abstract images that engage with the millennia-old traditions of ink and calligraphy.
Curated by Clay D’Paula, a Brazilian specialist in contemporary Chinese art, the exhibition is divided into four sections centered around allegories associated with the cycle of the day, from sunrise to the darkness of night.
Mzyellow showcases his artistic background through works that convey personal interpretations and visual impressions of the immense transformations occurring in China over the years and how these have influenced his art.
Artistic expressiveness is his trademark. He employs visceral movements in his painting and explores the materiality of technical supports in his work. The pieces presented in this exhibition were created by the artist over the last ten years.
From September 11 to November 3, visiting hours are Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 AM to 9 PM.

MZYELLOW Uma Sinfonia em Quatro Movimentos na Caixa Cultural
Para celebrar os 50 anos de relações diplomáticas entre o Brasil e a China, a exposição internacional “Mzyellow: Uma Sinfonia em Quatro Movimentos” chegou à Brasília. O artista chinês utiliza a delicadeza do papel de arroz para apresentar diferentes imagens abstratas que dialogam com as tradições milenares da tinta e da caligrafia.
Com curadoria de Clay D’Paula, especialista brasileiro em arte contemporânea chinesa, a exposição é separada em quatro momentos em torno de alegorias associadas ao ciclo do dia, desde o nascer do sol à escuridão da noite.
Mzyellow coloca sua bagagem artística exposta nas obras que trazem interpretações e impressões visuais pessoais das enormes transformações que tem acontecido na China durante os anos, e como isso influenciou sua arte.
A expressividade artística é sua marca registrada. Ele utiliza movimentos viscerais em sua pintura e explora a materialidade dos suportes técnicos em seus trabalhos. A produção apresentada nesta mostra foi criada pelo artista durante os últimos dez anos.
Do dia 11 de setembro a 3 de novembro, a visitação ocorre de terça a domingo, das 9h às 21h.
