The Embassy of Bangladesh, through its Military Attaché, Commodore Syed M. Ahmad, promoted on November 22 a dinner in honor of the Armed Forces of its country, the Armed Forces Day.
The event took place at the “Clube Naval de Brasília”, on the shores of the beautiful Lake Paranoá, and was attended by Brazilian goverment authorities, ambassadors, diplomats, military attachés, businessmen, journalists and personalities from Brasília’s society.

Upon the arrival of the guests, the Counselor of the Bangladesh Embassy, Ms. Samia Ronee, gave a welcoming speech and started the celebration, announcing the national anthems of Brazil and Bangladesh and presenting a video about Bangladesh and the importance of celebrating the Armed Forces day.

Then, the Bangladesh Defense attaché in Brazil, Commodore Syed M. Ahmad, delivered a speech highlighting the organization, growth and performance of his country’s armed forces.

The new ambassador of Bangladesh to Brazil, Ms. Sadia Faizunnesa, was announced by Ms. Samia Ronne and delivered a welcoming speech and recalled her country’s history of social and economic challenges and victories. She invited diplomats and Brazilian government officials to cut the celebratory cake to commemorate such an important day.

After the speeches, a commemorative dinner was served and everyone got together in an atmosphere of friendship and fraternity.
