With the aim of strengthening the Defense Industrial Base (BID), the Brazilian Ministry of Defense received a delegation from the French Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defense (IHEDN) on June 4. The meeting’s program included a presentation by the Secretariat of Defense Products (Seprod) and was also marked by a demonstration flight of the KC-390 aircraft at the Brasília Air Base. The Secretary of Defense Products, Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues, highlighted the importance of the French group’s visit to Brazil. “They had the opportunity to learn more about aspects related to the defense and security of our country and we had the opportunity to show them some products from our Defense Industrial Base, especially our KC-390,” he said. 

At the headquarters of the MD (Ministry of Defense), the French also participated in an institutional lecture on Seprod’s work in promoting the defense industry, in addition to a presentation by Embraer, for future opportunities for negotiations on the KC-390 aircraft. IHEDN – The Institute of Advanced Studies in National Defense of France is a French public academic institution, linked to the Prime Minister, with the mission of training civilian and military personnel in the areas of defense, security and international relations.

Com o objetivo de fortalecer a Base Industrial de Defesa (BID), o Ministério da Defesa Brasileiro recebeu, no dia 4 de Junho, uma comitiva do Instituto de Altos Estudos de Defesa Nacional da França (IHEDN). A programação do encontro contemplou uma apresentação da Secretaria de Produtos de Defesa (Seprod) e foi marcada, ainda, por um voo demonstrativo da aeronave KC-390, na Base Aérea de Brasília. O Secretário de Produtos de Defesa, Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues, destacou a importância da visita do grupo francês ao Brasil. “Eles tiveram a oportunidade de conhecer melhor aspectos relacionados à defesa e à segurança do nosso país e nós tivemos a possibilidade de mostrar a eles alguns produtos da nossa Base Industrial de Defesa, em especial o nosso KC-390”, contou

 

Na sede do MD (Ministério da Defesa), os franceses também participaram de uma palestra institucional sobre o trabalho da Seprod no fomento à indústria de defesa, além de uma apresentação da Embraer, para oportunidades futuras de negociações da aeronave KC-390. IHEDN – O Instituto de Altos Estudos de Defesa Nacional da França é uma instituição acadêmica pública francesa, vinculada ao Primeiro Ministro, com a missão de formar quadros civis e militares nos temas de defesa, segurança e relações internacionais.
