German Language Week 2025 Offers Free Programming in Brasília with Cinema, Music, and Workshops

The 9th edition of the German Language Week will take place from May 24 to June 8, 2025, offering a wide and free program aimed at audiences of all ages and levels of language proficiency. The initiative is organized by the Embassies of Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Switzerland, with the goal of celebrating and promoting the German language through cultural and educational activities.

Among the highlights of the schedule is the Brasília Film Showcase, which will be held at Sesc Estação 504 Sul, from May 26 to 31. Films from various genres, including documentary, science fiction, animation, and comedy, produced in German-speaking countries, will be screened. Admission is free.

In addition to film screenings, the Week will feature trial German classes, workshops, musical performances, lectures, and discussion circles. Part of the program will be offered in Portuguese, making it accessible to those who do not yet speak the language.

According to the organizers, the event aims to bring the Brazilian public closer to the language spoken by approximately 130 million people worldwide, and to strengthen the historical and cultural ties between Brazil and the participating countries.

Semana da Língua Alemã 2025 oferece programação gratuita em Brasília com cinema, música e oficinas

A 9ª edição da Semana da Língua Alemã será realizada entre os dias 24 de maio e 8 de junho de 2025, com uma programação ampla e gratuita voltada ao público de todas as idades e níveis de conhecimento do idioma. A iniciativa é promovida pelas Embaixadas da Alemanha, Áustria, Bélgica, Luxemburgo e Suíça e tem como objetivo celebrar e divulgar a língua alemã por meio de atividades culturais e educativas.

Além das exibições cinematográficas, a Semana contará com aulas experimentais de alemão, oficinas, apresentações musicais, palestras e rodas de conversa. Parte da programação será oferecida em português, facilitando o acesso de quem ainda não domina o idioma.
