The Colorful Memories show addresses the experiences of members of the LGBTQIAPN+ community. Presented by the artistic group Companhia Novos Candangos, the show will have performances on the weekends of January 16, 17 and 18 and 23, 24 and 25.

The real memories are sometimes difficult, but also joyful, full of “colors” and life. After a successful season in 2025, Companhia Novos Candangos returns with the show “Colorful Memories” in January 2026. The group’s original play, which addresses these and other themes, will be on stage on Fridays and Saturdays at 7 pm and on Sundays at 8 pm. The performances take place at Teatro Oficina Perdiz (Quadra 710 Norte, Asa Norte). In “Colorful Memories,” the stage transforms into the “Cabaret Candango Fubango,” a vibrant space where singing, dancing, dubbing, performance, and interpretation intertwine in scenes that reveal different stories. Ten characters bring this encounter to life, where the fantastical atmosphere of the cabaret gives way to real, diverse, and colorful memories. “It’s not just a talent show, it’s a moment for us to laugh, get emotional, and recognize ourselves in these stories,” as director and playwright Diego de León points out. 

Atmosphere

The experience doesn’t end on stage. There will be a shop with company products and a bar with drinks and music to enhance the event’s atmosphere. “We are a guerrilla theater group. With or without money, we perform because we believe in the power of theater as an artistic process and as a tool for transformation. In a world increasingly trapped by screens and social media, theater comes with this invitation to reality: to take people out of their homes, to put them face to face with other people and with stories that only exist live. It is in this spirit that we premiere this independent season of Colorful Memories,” emphasizes and invites the director.

 

Identification

In “Colorful Memories – LGBTQIAPN+ Voices,” the cast sought, during the process, personal memories and experiences and interviews with excluded and marginalized people in society who identify with the acronym. The result seeks, therefore, to celebrate life and the rights of all in a show that has, beyond pain, joyful and vivid memories. It is an identification.

Espetáculo Memórias Coloridas

 

O espetáculo Memórias Coloridas aborda vivências de membros da comunidade LGPTQIAPN+. Apresentado pelo grupo artístico Companhia Novos Candangos, o show terá apresentações nos finais de semana de 16, 17 e 18 e 23, 24 e 25 de janeiro.

Memórias reais, difíceis, mas também alegres, cheias de “cores” e vida. Em “Memórias Coloridas”, o palco se transforma no “Cabaré Candango Fubango”, um espaço vibrante onde canto, dança, dublagem, performance e interpretação se entrelaçam em quadros que revelam diferentes histórias. Dez personagens dão vida a esse encontro, em que a atmosfera fantasiosa do cabaré abre espaço para memórias reais, diversas e cheias de cor. “Não é só um show de talentos, é um momento pra gente rir, se emocionar e se reconhecer nessas histórias”, como destaca o diretor e dramaturgo Diego de León.

 

Clima

A experiência não termina no palco. No local, haverá uma lojinha com produtos da Cia. e um bar com bebidas e música para reforçar o clima do evento. “Somos um grupo de teatro de guerrilha. Com dinheiro ou sem dinheiro a gente apresenta, porque acredita na força do teatro como processo artístico e como ferramenta de transformação. Em um mundo cada vez mais preso às telas e às redes sociais, o teatro vem com este convite ao real: tirar as pessoas de casa, colocá-las frente a frente com outras pessoas e com histórias que só existem ao vivo. É nesse espírito que estreamos essa temporada independente de Memórias Coloridas”, ressalta e convida, o diretor.
