The movie exhibition “Buster Keaton: O mundo é um Circo” (the world is a circus) is on display at the movie theater of Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB), from October 09 to 28.

The American actor and director Buster Keaton (1895-1966) is among the greatest names in the movies history and is one of the founding fathers of visual comedy. Keaton is the author of classic silent films: “Sherlock Jr.” (1924), “The General” (1926) and “The Man of the News” (1928).

Programming will present 70 works and special activities for the whole family on October 12, CCBB’s anniversary and children’s day, that includes a master class with researcher Lila Foster. On October 28, a debate will take place about Keaton’s work and its consequences for the cinema and arts in general with the critic and researcher Glennis Cardoso and Pablo Gonçalo.
