The 17th Sesc FestClown will happen from May 22 to 22, with free admission, taking place in several units of SESC, in different regions and schedules, throughout Brasília.

SESC (abreviation in portuguese for Social Service of Commerce) is a private Brazilian institution, maintained by the entrepreneurs of the trade in goods, services and tourism, operating throughout the country, promoting culture, events and a lot of services.

The Sesc FestClown is a festival that gathers the tradition of circus art and clown, arriving now in its 17th edition. About thirty national and international companies will be performing.

The biggest news is that the 17th Sesc Festclown will have the indigenous artist, Ismael Apract Krahô, the Hotxuá Clown, performing for the first time for Sesc FestClown. In addition to Hotxuá Clown, the festival presents the show Xabisa, which arrives for the first time in the festival, formed by a pair of artists who bring the Afro-Brazilian culture to the clownery.

The workshop “O Ator na Rua (The actor in the street) will be given by Grupo Lume, from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, at Sesc Presidente Dutra, in Setor Comercial Sul, Asa Sul.

The Sesc Estação 504 Sul hosts the mime workshop by the Grupo Etc e Tal, on May 23 and 24, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Still on Sesc Estação 504 sul, on May 25 and 26, from 9 am to 1 pm, there will be the workshop “Onde coloquei o meu nariz?” (Where did I put my nose?) by the Grupo Marias da Graça .
