The Templo Shin Buddhist de Brasilia (Shin Buddhist Temple of Brasilia) welcomes the month of August with the 45th edition of its traditional Quermesse! The festival, which is originally a tribute to the ancestors, will have the theme “Community Present”. The theme is a call for communion around a project that honors the prophecy of Don Bosco, lives up to the effort of Oscar Niemeyer and continues the hard work of Juscelino Kubitschek, the 21st President of Brazil.
The Buddhist Temple this year is inviting the whole community to be present. To be aware of the steps we take on the daily path of the changes taking place around us and often we do not even notice. The Temple invites the public to become aware of the invisible relationships that exist between all people, to remember that with the help and unity of all, we are stronger and can live in harmony. There will be Japanese and oriental gastronomy, dance, celebrate yesterday, today and tomorrow, help, strengthen ties and be part of something much bigger than you are.
