Marco Palmah invites Renato Piau in tribute to the great musician Luiz Melodia. As in the previous show, the repertoire consists of great classics from the singer and composer born in Rio de Janeiro. All this with good wine or a special beer!
About the guest Renato Piau:
Instrumentist, composer and singer. In the early 1970s, he moved to Rio de Janeiro invitated by poet Torquato Neto, with whom he began a partnership. As a guitarist he accompanied many of the MPB artists. Manoel de Barros, one of his partners, wrote: “The guitar of Renato Piau is a miracle, can even evoke lightning.” He accompanied the master Luiz Melodia for 20 years and until the end of his career.
In the 1970s, he accompanied Raul Seixas, Sérgio Sampaio, Luiz Gonzaga, Fagner, Nana Vasconcelos, Chuck Berry, Sandra de Sá, Ron Carter, Tânia Maria, Baiano and the Novos Caetanos, Zé Ramalho, among many others. He composed with Chico Anísio and Arnaud Rodrigues several songs recorded by the duo Baiano and Os Novos Caetanos, with which he toured all over the country. In the 1980s, he accompanied Luiz Melodia, with whom he developed a partnership in several compositions, including “Cara a cara”, “Morena da novela” and “Cuidando de você”, recorded successfully by his partner and ” I’ve seen “(c / Luiz Melodia), played by Cássia Eller, with whom he also worked.

Marco Palmah, a São Paulo-based musician from the 70’s, has been a singer and performer since the 1970s and is a lover of Luiz Melodia’s work.
