The planetarium of Brasilia presented in the first week of November one of the most different experiences of current cinema: Immersphere - 1st Fulldome International Festival in Brasilia. It was a festival that presented a competitive exhibition of films projected on semi-spherical screens or in immersive environments. The event started on Wednesday, November 1st.
The festival presented 22 films from different countries. In the competitive show, there were seven productions from Brazil, five from Great Britain, two from France, two from Colombia, two from Mexico and one from each country: Canada, Belgium, the United States and Spain.
"In a fulldome display, the whole world may seem to be moving, sounds and images can deceive our senses," explained Ricardo Dal Farra, one of the show's curators. In addition to the exhibitions, Immersphere opened space for workshops with audiovisual content, lectures and workshops.
The productions on display can be seen at the Planetarium until the end of November. The admission to the event is free.
